Summer Work at Village Farm
We are looking for hard working young people going into 7th grade or higher that can show up when scheduled and work hard for a full four hour shift 2-3 times a week in our organic farm. Please apply if you like working outside doing things like, weeding, planting, harvesting, and more, or if you are just willing to work hard at these tasks with a good attitude to earn some money, thats okay too.
Follow the steps listed below to apply for the summer teen work program
Step 1
Make a RESUME. Even if you haven't had a job; list skills you have and references that will tell us about what you are good at.
Tip: Let your references know you have listed them. We WILL be calling them, and it helps if it is not a surprise when we call.
Step 2
Email your resume to villagefarmco@gmail.com with a subject heading that includes your name and the words Summer Work.
Tip: Use spell check, better yet have a loved one read your resume to make sure you are sharing your best attributes clearly.
Step 3
After two business days (M-F) reach back out by email or phone to make sure we received your resume and to ask or answer any questions about the job.
Tip: Think of a question, what are you curious about? Also, YOU should be the one to call. We are not looking to hire your Mom.
Step 4
Show up for your interview clean, on time, and with a smile on your face.
Tip: We are looking at several things in this meeting. Among them are; self-control, perseverance, a good attitude, & willingness to learn and try new things.
